Not rumours of corruption and state pillaging, but actual finding after finding of such practices by commission of inquiry after commission of inquiry. The very reasons you mentioned for the sad state of affairs are almost all to be observed in South Africa too. It has led to increasing balkanization of our nation. Parallel “governments” are appearing, and also enclavisation. Ironically and sadly enough, the masses stay enslaved to governmental powers, as you described so well…
Econ Bro, they are natural responses to state collapse in South Africa. In all probability they are also reflections of the South African diversity. The way we are made up, is not necessaraly conducive to a unitary state. The enclaves and parallel "governments" could function well in some type of federal arrangement. If you are not aware of the excellent efforts of Lex Libertas in that regard, please look them up and follow them. I believe with them that the longer term future of South Africa is not to be found in our ANC's socialist dream of forcing everyone to submit to its hegemony. They failed after 32 years to create a successful state, and succeeded only in destoying our economy by means of socialist policies and typical grand corruption which flourishes under Marxist-Leninst regimes...
